Queensland’s Sunshine Coast
The Sunshine Coast is a sunny, dreamy stretch of coastline in Australia’s Queensland. It’s known for sprawling beach resorts, renowned surf spots, and natural treasures in the surrounding hinterland. It offers a quiet escape or an action-packed vacation all year round thanks to its near-perfect weather.
Glamping at Rivershore Resort
Rivershore Resort is one of Australia’s largest glamping resorts. It sits on the glorious Sunshine Coast right on the banks of the Maroochy River in Diddillibah.
The resort is a one-of-a-kind caravanning, camping, and glamping property. It’s also in close proximity to some of the country’s greatest beaches and natural wonders. Rivershore provides a fantastic resort experience with a spacious and relaxed vibe.
Welcoming Arrival
Rivershore Resort is just a one-hour drive from Brisbane but a world away from city life. Your cares will melt away once you’re greeted at reception by one of the friendly staff. The manager or owner will personally escort you to your glamping tent.
Their whole goal is for you to escape, relax, and enjoy everything they have to offer.
Luxurious Tents
There are 15 beautifully appointed safari tents and 80 powered camping and caravanning sites at Rivershore Resort. Each of the luxurious, self-contained safari tents has a king-size, four poster bed, an en suite bathroom with separate shower and a claw-foot tub, kitchenette, and a covered veranda with a BBQ area and peaceful river views. It truly allows you to unplug and experience nature while still enjoying all the creature comforts of a five-star hotel.
The tents were imported from South Africa and are designed to withstand extreme conditions. On nice days, roll up the window coverings and let in the sweet sea breezes. All of the furniture was handcrafted here on the Sunshine Coast and tents feature luxury guest amenities and premium linens.
Food and Drink
The 100-seat Driftwood Restaurant and Bar is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The modern restaurant overlooks the huge pool area. It’s also the perfect setting to relax with a cool drink or enjoy a fun-filled evening with friends. Pop down for their daily happy hour from 4 – 5pm. They also host an ever-popular pizza night on Tuesdays.
The regular dinner menu offers a nice variety of dishes including truffled mushroom crostini, gourmet spring rolls, prosciutto-wrapped pork tenderloin, and an Indian-inspired chicken pasanda.
Relax with breakfast in bed, since room service is available all day. There’s also a self-catering kitchen so you can cook up your own family meals.
An Abundance of Activities
It’s all about the pool at Rivershore, where activity centers around a huge 82-foot (25m), year-round heated pool with two water slides. Relax by the pool with a book while sipping a latte, craft beer, or cocktail from Driftwood Restaurant and Bar.
They offer kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding on the river. Kids love the trampoline, playground, and 9-hole mini-golf course, as well as the outdoor movie theatre. Yoga and aqua aerobics classes are available all year round, along with a pop-up day spa during peak periods. Rivershore Resort truly has something for everyone.
