Nottingham Post Names 5 Glamping Sites to Visit This Summer

Nottingham Post names five fun glamping sites to visit near Nottingham.

As summer is still in full effect, everyone is looking for the perfect glamping getaway and these destinations are just a short drive from Nottingham, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.

The sites listed from the post offer an array of activities and a memorable family weekend.

Teversal Camping
Teversal has been awarded 5 stars from Visit England and 5 Penants from the AA. Glampers can relax in the scenic Nottinghamshire countryside, with miles of off road walking and cycling trails. ReadyFields Farm
ReadyFields farm is nestled in the Nottinghamshire countryside and offers an abundance of wildlife on site. Glampers can stay for a week in a cozy canvas lodge for the weekend. The tents sleep up to five adults and there are between 2-10 tents to choose from on the farm.

Riddings Wood
This quaint glamping site is located by the historical heritage Midland Railway line. Guest can stay in tents or caravan in the scenic countryside where guests can enjoy
walking, climbing, cycling, bird watching and fishing.

The Dandelion Hideaway
Situated in open countryside, this site offers you a luxurious camping experience in their canvas covered cottages for the coziest getaway. Also located near the Market Bosworth, this little farm is perfect for families because it offers a rural retreat that can be educational and relaxing.

New Farm Holidays
Hidden away in outskirts of Lincolnshire, connect with nature at the New Farms Holiday glamping site, in style. This farm offers glampers the option of staying in a pods, caravans or bell tents.

Glamping on Orcas Island

Orcas Island is now offering a glamping experience like no other.

When the Washington State Parks were faced with budget cuts, the commission decided to lease out portions of Moran State Park.

The hospitality groups, Wanderlust Camps, that leased out the park turned those grounds into glamping sites.

Glampers can get to the Island by ferry and will be greeted with spectacular views.

At the campgrounds, glampers will stay in a safari tent furnished with a bed, nightstand, drawers, tables, chairs, drying rack and a coat rack.

In addition, the tents have king sized memory foam mattresses to give guests the ultimate comforts.

For just $244/night guest get all the amenities they could want such as electric heat, flat screen TV, iPhone an computer chargers, vanity table, mini fridge, fire pit and a microwave.

The tents in Moran State Park are surrounded by over 5,000 acres of wilderness and guest can enjoy activities such as hiking, biking, and sea kayaking adventures just steps away from camp.

Orcas Island is one big playground located in the San Juan Islands and the ideal spot for an outdoor glamping adventure.
